April 8 – Tuesday – There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive at the Harrison Moose Lodge from Noon until at least 5:30pm. The lodge will give a burger/cheese burger as a thank you!

 

April 9 – Wednesday – Johnston Elevator of Clare is holding their 2nd annual Community Open House 9 am – 3 pm. Stop in between 9 and noon for free pancakes and door prizes.

 

April 9 – Wednesday – Hospice of Helping Hands will be starting their next Grief Support Group, which will run for five consecutive Wednesdays. Sessions will be held from 10-11:30am at the Hospice of Helping Hands Office. There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. For more information or to register, call 800-992-6592.

April 13 – Sunday – The Knights of Columbus Council is sponsoring an All You Can Eat Breakfast from 8am-1pm. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The breakfast will be located at 360 S. River Road in Bay City.

April 24-27 [Thursday-Sunday] Shepherd will have it's 56th Annual Maple Syrup Festival. This is a four-day, family-orientented festival with activities including indoor and outdoor arts and craft shows, amusement rides, laser tag, and much more. May 1-3 [Thursday- Saturday] The Ladies of Fellowship will be having a rummage sale at the Church of Daniel Band from 9am-5pm. The church is located at 1233 E. Highwood Rd.

 

May 2 – Friday – A benefit spaghetti dinner and bake sale has been scheduled at the Knights of Columbus from 4 – 8 pm to benefit the Jean Mercercancer fund. Adults can get in for just $6.99, kids under 10 for $3.50.
